Prices

There is a £18 hourly rate. No travel costs are added for work in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

There is no Value Added Tax to be added. This applies to all prices quoted on the website. Postage is charged at cost.

Free estimates for family history research and other work such as location photography, genealogy training, family reunions and tracing living relatives can be provided. Advice on the approach to family history research in England and Wales can also be provided free of charge.

English Roots has access to a range of online records including censuses and civil registration indexes helping provide a quicker and more economical service for customers.

Customers have the option of a £475 set price for a De Luxe Family History Book (see Services for more details). This is very good value as family history books usually take over 50 hours to research and write. The family will be traced  back to the eighteenth century and often before.

A laminated family history book and a professionally printed family tree are provided. Research is carried out and photographs taken in the places where the family lived. 

Standard Family History Books priced at £225 are similar in most respects to the De Luxe books but research is on the Internet only and families are usually traced back to the early nineteenth or late eighteenth centuries. Books are usually 20-25 pages but there are few photographs included. See Services for more details.

Family Trees cost £125 and include Internet research back to the early nineteenth century presented on a professionally printed family tree.

Gift vouchers are available for your relatives and friends in multiples of £10, US$20, Aus $20, Eur €20 and other major trading currencies.   

Payment can be made in all major trading currencies and although PayPal is prefered other methods of payment can be arranged.
