Advice And Training: family history research
Advice and training can be provided in carrying out family history research either for groups or individuals.
Advice can include the range of available research sources in the UK, their location and methods of research. Tutorials can be provided face to face or on line. Advice can be provided to people in England or visitors to the country who want advice on making the best use of their time.
Brian Drescher, owner manager of English Roots, is a tutor for the WEA (Workers' Education Association). He runs family history courses for beginners and more advanced courses for people with some family history experience. Brian has given a number of other family history presentations on different topics which have been very well received by audiences.
Brian is a tutor for Pharos Teaching and Tutoring Ltd. He is one of five professional genealogists who run a range of online Pharos courses to enable people to search more effectively for their ancestors in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The aim is to provide training that is both interesting and informative so that people can develop their research skills and understand the social, geographical and historical context of their ancestors' lives.
